1. Knowledge - Travel planners have knowledge of hotels and destinations.  You can use this to your advantage. The rating systems vary by country and company.  You can ask them all your questions!

2. Price - When you book through a planner you will get a good price.  They get discounts for volume of booking.  You can also Price Match with deals that you find.  Print it and bring it along!

3. Time - It's less effort to book your trip with a planner than to shop yourself online.  You can give your planner a list of criteria and let them do all of the work!

4. Travel Insurance - What happens if your kids get sick?  What if the babysitter cancels?  In hurricane season the weather is fickle.  Travel insurance gives you peace of mind!

5. Health Insurance - A planner can also book health insurance.  It's good to be covered when traveling.  Many employers do not cover travel abroad.  Your family needs coverage too!

6. Advance Tickets - When you book your trip with a travel planner, you will have your tickets early.  Getting your tickets before you arrive at the airport helps avoid any last minute headaches!

7. Attractions -The places you are traveling may have tourist attractions.  A planner can give you the details.  They can also book tickets for shows or events.  They can usually get you a discount!

8. Precautions - What identification or documents are required?  Do you need to get medical shots?  A planner can inform you of things you should have and issues you may need to watch for!

9. No contracts - You can visit a planner to look for a trip and decide later.  You have no obligation to make any purchases.  They will still give you useful advice!

10. Travel Extras - Do you need to book a shuttle to get to the airport?  Will you be using airport parking?  Do you need a hotel the day of your trip?  A planner can arrange these and offer you discounts!
